It’s usually much ado about nothing where celebrity in-fighting and feuding is concerned. Nothing drums up media attention quite like controversy between A-listers, and if you don’t believe there have been instances in the past where two stars have engaged in a faux-war to get more of the limelight, well then I have some magic beans in my pocket that I’d be interested in selling you.
All that said, a recent on-camera encounter between Nicole Kidman and Salma Hayek at Paris Fashion Week has gone viral as it purportedly shows the pair clashing.
The video in question – which has been spreading around social media platforms this month – shows Hayek posing for photos with Kidman and music icon Katy Perry during a Balenciaga show at Paris Fashion Week. Yet Kidman, 57, appears to run out of patience with the flashing cameras, and it’s what she did after turning her back that has the world of entertainment talking.
Perhaps there’s no place more fitting for a female A-lister to bare her claws than a world-famous fashion week. In any case, that’s what Nicole Kidman reportedly did in Paris, where she was filmed attempting to leave a paparazzi photo-op after being snapped beside Salma Hayek, 58, and Katy Perry, 39.
In a clip now doing the rounds, Kidman attempts to take her leave of the situation, only for Hayek to put her arm around the actress and steer her back towards the cameras. The photographer then asks for “one more” photo of the trio.
Kidman, though, apparently wasn’t in the mood, and can be seen brushing Hayek’s hand away and walking off.

As per reports , Kidman also said something to Hayek in the exchange, though her words are unclear. What can be heard later in the clip is Hayek saying: “Yes please – advice,” to which someone off camera – rumored to be Kidman – responds “You don’t need it.”
“I do,” Hayek answers back.
Now, we’ll be the first to admit that the interaction is hardly concrete evidence of a spat between the stars involved, but there were people online speculating that Hayek and Kidman may dislike one another.
In fact, a debate started up on social media, with some people of the opinion that the exchange shared between the two actresses was proof that there may be bad blood there. Other, less, shall we say, radical theories, back the notion that it was nothing more than routine encounter blown out of proportion.

Indeed, as if to put the matter to bed, Hayek took to Instagram later to post a series of images from the night in question, including one of herself and Kidman.
“Finally last night the grand finale of my Paris Fashion Week 2025… Balenciaga and Demna for a terrific show,” her caption read.
Kidman’s daughter, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, whom she shares with country star Keith Urban, made her runway debut at Paris Fashion Week, opening Miu Miu’s spring/summer 2025 fashion show on Tuesday, October 1.
“I’ve been wanting to do this for so long,” Kidman Urban told Vogue . “So when the offer came through, it was really exciting and now the day’s finally here.”
The teen admitted she was “really stressed” at first, but once she realized everyone was “really nice,” she was able to calm down and enjoy the moment.
